What are your alaska fishing lodge options

When most people think 'fishing lodge', their imagination conjures up visions of a tiny log cabin stuck in the middle of nowhere, with or without the amenity of an outhouse nearby. But to be honest, an Alaska fishing lodge can be that, a rustic resort, or anything in between. When thinking about venturing north to fish for salmon, trout, halibut or any other of the dozens of species that swim in the hundreds of thousand of square miles of Alaska's lakes, rivers, tributaries and streams, not to mention her Pacific coastline, the first thing to do is figure out where you want to stay. Alaska offers a wealth of lodging opportunities in a myriad of price ranges. Do you want to rough it or spend fishing down time being pampered and catered to? It's all up to you, because Alaska has everything you could want, and more. While Alaska does have her fair share of rustic, one-room cabins tucked away in the depths of forests, hundreds of miles from nowhere, she also offers some of the best in world-class resort lodges that will cater to your finer tastes when it comes to dining, entertainment and good old fashioned pampering. That includes spas, massages, facials and steam rooms. Most people venturing to Alaska don't really care about all the amenities, and are perfectly happy and content with a roof over their head and an outhouse, or not. But fishing isn't just for guys anymore. Women from around the world also love to fish, and do so independently, in pairs or in larger groups. The Alaskan tourist and sporting industry has recognized that fact and offers all kinds of lodging choices to visitors from the lower forty-eight as well as around the world. Sure, Alaska fishing lodges come in the rustic log style, but they also crop up in designs that can be found around the world. If you're not interested in rolling into that well-used sleeping bag, you might want to opt for soft mattresses at any number of three - and four-star hotels available around any larger city and lake within the state. Room service, fine dining, and entertainment choices for visitors vie with the natural beauty to be found outdoors, and many are pressed to decide which they prefer best. Fishing in Alaska is a unique opportunity that doesn't happen to everyone, so when your time comes, take full advantage. Many fishing lodges offer tours, guides and equipment for both novice and expert anglers, as well as a number of favorite fishing spots for their guests to try out. Launching a trip into the interior of Alaska can also be arranged from many fishing resorts around the state. Price ranges for guided side-trips can cost a few hundred to a thousand dollars per person, and can include horseback riding into fishing camps or 4-wheeling it in, or even canoeing. If you find yourself tempted to take one of these side trips offered by an Alaska fishing lodge, just make sure that you know and are ready for fishing laws and permits necessary to ensure a safe, fun and productive trip.

Casinos most guarded secrets

: The secrets of the casinos are not the kind of secrets that you may think. They are not secrets like the third slot machine in every row pays out on the hour, they are more like things they do to distract you from the obvious. One of the biggest secret the casinos do not want you to know is that if you use your head and not act irrationally you can go home with some money in your pockets, unfortunately most people enter a casino and all logic flies right out of their heads. They start seeing the bells and whistles of the casinos, and people with stacks of chips and all they can think of is what they are going to do with all the money they are going to win from the casino. Using your head is the key to winning money in the casino. The first think you need to remember is that the odds of you winning the big jackpot are so outrageously against you, that it is not worth losing your hard earned money on. So by being smart and not trying to get rich on one spin of the roulette wheel, one toss of the dice at the Craps table or one go on the slot machine you can consistently win smaller amounts that at the end of the day can a large sum of money. Next time you are in the casino try going to the 10 dollar Roulette table and only play red or black. Each win you will double your bet, and at 10 dollars a spin you can make 100 dollars in less then 30 minutes. I usually walk up to a table and wait for the wheel to land on the same color 3 times in a row then bet on the other color. Then after I have made some money I will start to play some other bets, but I only stay on the outside of the board. The odds are much better at 3 to 1 or 4 to 1 instead of 40 to 1. Using this method I have managed to turn $20 into $900 in just over 3 hrs. It may not sound like a fortune, but as I said before walking in poor and walking out a millionaire is not realistic. Next time you are at a casino look for a clock or window. Ok do not waste your time, there are none. Another secret of the casinos is that they want you to have no concept of time. When you are gambling time seems to go faster, and if there were clocks or a window in the casino you would have some idea of how long you have been gambling and would then start to think about leaving the casino instead if losing all track of time and spending all day and night in the casino. They do this because at some point you will start to get tired but be kept awake from the adrenalin from gambling, and at this point you can't think straight, and you will start to spend money faster. Always remember the casinos are not there to make you dreams come true they are there to take you for all your money. Any time you leave the casino with some of the casinos money it was accidental. Some of the tricks the casinos use to keep you gambling are: No Windows No Clocks Ugly colors in the rugs and walls around the exits, and nice colors around the gamming areas will subliminally make you not want to go to those areas. The worse the odds of you winning the nicer the colors of that area will be. By keeping this information in mind you will not be going home from the casinos and quitting your job but you will have more money in your pocket and you will have had a good time making that money.

Bluetooth versions 298

Bluetooth Versions Version 1.1 and earlier Since the technology of Bluetooth was introduced in 1998, several specification versions have been released. Versions 1.0 and 1.0B had too many issues and problems for manufacturers to develop devices for Bluetooth. The main issue was the lack of communication among the devices. The core specification version 1.1 is the first successful operating version of Bluetooth. Version 1.1 corrected a majority of the bugs and problems found in earlier versions. Version 1.2 Many of the newer Bluetooth devices, such as the newer cell phones are being sold with the newer Bluetooth version 1.2. This version offers backward compatability with Bluetooth 1.1, faster transmission speeds, received signal strength, and a host controller interface (HCI) support for 3 wire UART. Bluetooth version 2.0 It's true that there may be multiple communication technologies, although they all share one common trait - faster is better. Bluetooth specialists realized this, and therefore worked on improving the speeds of version 1.2. The newest version, version 2.0 + EDR (Enhanced Data Rate) was accounced in 2004 and became available in late 2005. Version 2.0 delivers data transfer rates of up to three times that of the original version of Bluetooth. Version 2.0 also provides enhanced connectivity. With Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, you'll be able to run more devices at the same time - with more efficiency. Computers and even computer related devices are expected to be some of the first devices to encorporate Bluetooth 2.0 + EDR, followed of course by audio and imaging devices. Version 2.0 is backward compatible with previous versions, three times faster, and offers an enhanced data rate of 2.1 MB a second. It also offers broadcast and multicast support, along with a further enhanced bit error rate performance, making it the best Bluetooth has ever seen. (word count 298)

Excelling arizona schools named for 2004 2005 school year

As with many school systems across the United States, Arizona Schools have several measurement and accountability programs in place to improve student scholastic achievement. One accountability program for the Arizona schools is the AZ LEARNS achievement program. AZ LEARNS holds all Arizona schools accountable for the performance of their students and teachers, measuring performance over several years versus a snapshot one-year measurement. The AZ LEARNS evaluation is based upon four established measurements already required by the Arizona schools. They are: • AIMS Scores — Measures reading, language arts and mathematics for elementary schools; and reading, writing and mathematics for high schools. • MAP — Measure of Academic Progress for schools, where students scores for AIMS and SATs are compared to the state average. • Graduation/Dropout Rates — Used for the high schools. • AYP — Adequate Yearly Progress measures student proficiency in the state’s academic standards of reading and mathematics over time. The AZ LEARNS program for the Arizona schools categorizes schools on a graded scale as either: • Failing to meet academic standards, • Underperforming, • Performing, • Highly Performing, or • Excelling. Using quotations when you need permission

First of all, here's my disclaimer. I'm not a lawyer. The following is based on my own research and, as you'll see, every situation is different. That's why the use of quotes can be confusing. I do hope, however, that this can help you to make better decisions when preparing your own manuscripts or other creative projects. Quotes are wonderful little things. They can convey a world of meaning in just a few words. And they're everywhere: books, greeting cards, on the home pages of websites, in daily emails. But just because they're everywhere doesn't mean you can plop a few into your text without asking anyone's permission. Sometimes you have to, sometimes you don't. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind when you're trying to figure out which side you're on. 1. Has the quote been set down in writing? If the quote you're using only exists as the words someone has said, then it's okay to use it. For instance, if you hear Paris Hilton say something on television such as "That's hot!", you can use the quote. You should, of course, credit her for saying it. But if Paris were to write the words down in a book, then those words are covered by copyright. You would need permission from her or her publisher to put the quote in your book or on a card. 2. Is it under copyright or in the public domain? Copyright isn't always an issue. If the quote is from a work that is older than seventy-five years old, most likely it is in the public domain and you won't need permission for it. Copyright lasts throughout the author's lifetime, plus seventy years after the author's death. 3. Getting permission. If you do have to get permission for a quote, start working on this right away, even if the book isn't done and you're not sure you're going to use the quote. It can take months to find out who to ask for permission, and even longer to hear back once you've sent the request. So give yourself plenty of time. You'll want to send a letter describing your project and requesting the right to use the quote. Note: this will only be a one time right. Getting permission for one project doesn't mean you have permission to put the quote in other books or other projects. Unfortunately, there is no one place where you can check to see who owns the copyright on a work. Not everyone registers their copyright since copyright is an automatic right, so the Copyright Office won't always be able to provide the information. You can start with the obvious: the author's publisher or literary agent. If you can't find the author that way, then using search engines on the internet would be your next resource. Remember to look for possible family members of the author as well. It's important to find a family member since the copyright may have passed on to heirs after an author's death. Remember to keep good records of everything you do in your search: sending letters, making phone calls, placing ads. If you can't contact anyone and you decide to use the quote anyway, you'll want to be able to show that you made a reasonable effort to find the owner of the copyright. 4. Exceptions, of course. Here's where things get murky. Because a quote is so short, it can also be seen as not being a substantial part of a work and therefore available for "fair use". However, the term is vague and there's no clear guideline on what it really covers. So when in doubt, get permission. The rules seem to be a little different if the quote you want to use is from a poem or a song. In those cases I've found that it's recommended you always seek permission for those works. I'm guessing it's because poems and songs are much shorter than books, so any quote from them is using a significant portion of the work. One last note: don't let seeking permissions distract you from your writing. Do your research, send out letters if you have to, and move on. If you don't it's highly likely that the quotes will only delay your work instead of enhancing it. © 2006 Sophfronia Scott

New features in google sitemaps

: The Google Sitemap program has brought a high level of assistance to web developers, web designers and business owners who want to optimize how their website’s web pages are seen by the Google search engine. We all know how important page ranking is for a web page. The higher your page rank in Google, the more chances that it will be clicked and visited by visitors. Increased internet traffic is what drives sales and awareness for products and services. The Google Sitemap program has become very popular because it made the task of submitting web pages to Google so much easier. A web developer or designer does not even have to worry about making frequent changes to the web pages because it is more easily known by Google. By presenting a constantly fresh index of web pages for your web site you are assured that what is presented in Google is the latest pages that you are maintaining. The very high popularity of Google Sitemap has encouraged Google’s team of engineers to develop and add more features to the program. These additions seek to make Google Sitemaps more intuitive and effective in its functions. Google recently announced that it has again added a bevy of new features for the Google Sitemap program that just made certain aspects of the program so much easier to understand and maintain. Here are the latest new features of the Google Sitemap program: Query Stats. Knowing the top position of your website is important. With Google’s Query Stats, you will now know the top search queries where the results included your website as well as those that Google searchers actually clicked on. The position given is the average statistic posted over the last three weeks. Top mobile search queries. Google acknowledges that there is a growing number of people who use mobile devices for browsing the internet and also consider it as a separate “demographic”. For this reason, the top mobile search queries feature shows web designers and developers the top search queries made from mobile devices in which the results showed their website.

Web designers and web developers will see both the mobile searches of all web sites as well as the mobile searches of mobile-specific web sites. The results given by this feature will only appear if it is available in your web site. At this point of the development of this feature, Google only shows the top search queries and not the clicks made for those queries. Downloading Sitemap details, statistics, and errors. Your Sitemap account now also contain additional information.

You can now download information in the form of a comma separated value file. This type of file can be opened by using any text editor or spreadsheet program. You can decide to download the information on a per table basis, or you can opt to download Sitemap details, errors or statistics for all of the web sites in your Google Sitemaps account in one convenient file.

Draft draught horses the clydesdale

History This heavy draft horse traces its roots to the early 19th century in the Lanarkshire (formerly Clydesdale) district of Scotland. There was a strong need for this large horse not only in the agricultural area but in the commerce area as well. The horses were used in the coalfields of Lanarkshire and for hauling wagons in the streets of Glasgow. To achieve the desired traits of a horse with a longer stride and larger feet, that were necessary on draft horses who worked on the soft soils of the Scottish lands, English and Belgian stallions were imported and bred with the smaller local mares. The result was the founding line of the modern-day Clydesdales. The breed's reputation grew to the point that Scottish breeders began exporting them to Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States. Today the Clydesdale is almost exclusively the only draft breed in its native Scotland, and is still favored in the other four countries as well. In fact there is one very large and popular brewery in the United States which uses Clydesdales, exclusively, for pulling replicas of its original beer wagon in parades and at special events around the country. They make these magnificent animals available for one to go into their temporary stables and actually walk up to the horses for a close-up view. The horses are sort of goodwill ambassadors for their company. And darn good ones too, one might say. Description and Conformation Today's Clydesdale typically weighs in from 1600 to 2000 pounds (113.6 to 142 stones). He stands 16 to 19 hands (162.5 to 193 cm., or 64 to 76 in.) at the shoulder. While this is larger than the original Scottish horse, today's breeders have retained the large feet, the sound legs, and the distinctive looks of the ancestral Clydesdales. The colors of the coats are very vivid, the face is usually white, and the most popular trait for a performing team of these magnificent horses is four white socks which reach the knees. The legs are usually "feathered" in white hair from the knees down, and the most common color is a bright bay. Once can, however, still see Clydesdales in black, brown, and chestnut. And those are perfectly acceptable for registration as purebreds. The overall take on this breed is that of a thoroughly well-built horse which is full of strength and activity. They naturally hold their heads high and seem very proud, almost aristocratic. One can see the strength, agility, and docility in their stance even while they are stationary. And once seen in action the Clydesdales leave an even more lasting, and awe inspiring, impression!

How to correctly weight train for golf like tiger vijay and phil

I often hear from amateur golfers about how training with weights makes them feel “tight” and it ruin’s their golf swing. Traveling on the PGA Tour I disagree with this point of view completely. It is well known that the top players on the PGA Tour; Tiger, Vijay, and Phil workout regularly. They praise the benefits of their workouts in the development of their golf swing. I am a first hand observer of what they do in the gym on the days they play. As a result, I see the reasons why amateurs do not workout as excuses rather than legitimate reasons. I would guess that the difficulty amateurs have with weight training or working out in relation to the game of golf is how to do it correctly. This article will discuss how to properly workout to improve your golf game. Weight training is not bad for the golfer if done correctly. Weight training done incorrectly is bad for the golfer. This is where the amateur gets sidetracked, frustrated, and ends up thinking weight training is bad for golf. A typical weight training program found at many health clubs can be detrimental to the golf swing. These types of programs can make you feel “tight”, adversely affect your golf game, and leave you frustrated. The reason why these “generic” training programs are counter productive to golf is their inability take into account what is required of the body in relation to the golf swing. Golfers need to be very aware of a few important concepts when weight training in relation to the golf swing. First and foremost, any training program for golf needs to be cross-specific. A cross-specific training program develops the body to the positions, movements, and requirements of the sport you participate in. Granted everyone’s swing is slightly different but the base components are the same. All golfers rotate around a fixed spine angle, transfer weight forward and back during the swing, generate clubhead speed, attempt to square the club at impact, and complete the swing in a balanced finish position. The main goal of a cross-specific training program is develop your body physically around the golf swing. This induces what is termed a transfer of training effect onto the golf course. Simplified this states that the training you do in the gym pays off on the course in a positive manner. Designing a weight training program for golf is a simple process if done correctly. The best place to start is with flexibility. Golfers need to be flexible. The golf swing requires you to move the club through a long range of motion, thus requiring your body to be very flexible. Areas of the body that typically require large amounts of flexibility for golf are; the hamstrings, lower back, hips, and shoulders. Oftentimes the amateur’s swing can improve from just adding flexibility exercises to their training program. Another aspect of a cross-specific training program for golf is balance training. Balance is the ability of the body to control its’ center of gravity and body parts efficiently. Balance exercises address both the nervous and muscular systems of the body creating greater efficiency in its ability to control body movements and center of gravity. After you have looked at the flexibility and balance components of a training program for golf, it is time to shift gears to the “weight training” side of the equation. The golf swing requires the development of strength within the muscles of the body. You need muscular strength to maintain a fixed spine angle, create an efficient weight transfer, and develop clubhead speed. The development of strength in the muscular system is where the amateur commonly makes mistakes. Remember all the exercises in a cross-specific training program for golf must revolve around the movements of the swing, and create a benefit to your play on the course. Typically, strength training is thought of as a group of exercises that create “bulk” and build the “beach muscles”. Bench pressing 300 and developing biceps like Arnold does not mean you’ll drive the golf ball 300 yards. Developing strength for the golf swing is very different from “football” or “bodybuilding” strength exercises. The golf swing uses the whole the body, from feet to fingertips. As a result, golfers need to strengthen the entire body cross-specifically to the movements of the golf swing. A key to strength training exercises for golf is to integrate the entire body into the exercise patterns, rather than isolating a specific muscle (a. k.a. bicep curls and bench press). For example, bicep curls may make you look great for the beach or fill out your golf shirt, but you do not swing the golf club with your biceps only. You use your entire body, and as a result the strength training part of your program, must incorporate the entire body. Exercises such as ball crunches, Russian twists, single leg squats are beneficial strength training exercises for golf. Completing the template of a golf specific training program is endurance training. The golf swing is a repetitive movement. In a single round of golf the swing is repeated numerous times. A week on Tour might find players swinging the golf club well over 1000’s times. As a result, it is necessary to develop the endurance capacities of your muscular system. Developing endurance in your muscular system allows you to repeat a movement over and over again without getting tired, a key component of the golf swing. Once the body becomes tired, the ability to swing the golf club properly becomes impeded resulting in miss hits, lost distance, and poor shots. Bottom line, you need to make the same swing consistently to score consistently. Endurance training assists in this process. To summarize; weight training and working out is beneficial to the golfer, if and only if it is done correctly. The wrong choice in the type of training program, exercise selection, or even exercise sequence can hinder your golf game. Choosing a training program that is cross-specific to the golf swing and induces a transfer of training effect onto the golf course is best. This type of program incorporates; flexibility, balance, strength, endurance, and power exercises relative to the golf swing providing benefits to your body and golf game. Sean Cochran

Overcoming touch deprivation

From the time you were a newborn how well you thrived depended in large part by how much you were lovingly touched. I was born two months premature in Trinidad in 1965. I was only 4 pounds and had to be in an incubator for my first few weeks of life. The doctors told my mom not to get attached to me because I only had a ten percent chance of surviving. My mother didn’t believe them. And touched and loved me and willed me to live. And live I did. I grew into being a 6’3”, 200 pound man in almost perfect health. Such is the power of love, such is the power of touch. We tend to get touched less and less as we get older, although our primal need for touch never diminishes. Touch deprivation is a significant form of sensory deprivation. Most of us wouldn’t dream of going weeks or months without opening our eyes, or keeping our ears plugged, yet many of my patients tell me that they haven’t been massaged or held for weeks or months. Our world is becoming too formal, too stiff, too emotionally cold. For the sake of your physical, emotionally, mental and spiritual health, give your self more permission to touch and be touched. The true cost of keeping a pet

If your household is one of the many, many homes in the United States that acquired a pet this Christmas you received a gift that you and your family will enjoy for years. In fact, it probably already feels like the pet is a part of the family. However, like any other member of the family that new dog or cat will need to be taken care of. In this article we will help you budget for the new member of your family. If you welcomed a puppy and kitten into your household this Christmas they will already have grown noticeably. In fact, they have probably doubled in size already and you may also notice that they have pretty ferocious appetites for their small size. The costs of feeding your pet and giving it the care it deserves can add up pretty quickly so the sooner you start factoring these costs into your monthly budget the better. If the new addition to your family is a small animal such as a rabbit or a hamster, then it certainly won't break the bank. However, dogs, and even cats, can be notoriously expensive. Dogs are hugely popular at Christmas and now that you are into the New Year the true cost of keeping one is probably becoming apparent. It is probably still a puppy now, but towards the end of this year it will be fully grown and will be much harder to control. For this reason you should start saving towards the cost of dog training. This can be quite expensive but it is well worth it for the peace of mind it gives, especially if it is a large dog. You can rest assured that it will do what its told, and it will be much less likely to run away or cause damage or injury. Prices for dog training vary, but as a rough guide four weeks of training will cost in the region of $2,000. This would usually consist of two hours training a day, five days a week for four weeks. This should be enough to have an average dog very well trained. If you feel this is above your budget you should at the very least buy a good dog-training book. A good dog-training book shouldn't cost you much more than $20 or $30. Training is a once-off cost. More important is preparing for the monthly costs of keeping an animal. It is estimated that an average dog will cost somewhere in the region of $12,000 dollars to keep over a 12-year life to feed. This does not take into account vet bills, medicine, toys, and other equipment such as kennels. In reality, you should be setting aside about $2,000 every year to keep a dog healthy and happy. Cats will be a little cheaper, but not significantly, at about $1,400 per year. These estimates cover basic costs. However, owning a pet can get just about as expensive as you want to make it. If you want to dress your dog up in designer outfits then prepare to pay the price. Also, if you travel you may need to pay for a pet passport, micro-chipping, quarantine and other costs. Another thing you may want to consider is pet insurance. This needn't be expensive and will cover costs if your pet becomes ill or is stolen. If you have had a pet for a while you will be well aware that those vet bills soon add up so it could save you money in the long run. Pet insurance policies can vary significantly both in terms of cost and quality, but for the most part you get what you pay for. Be sure to read the small print so you know exactly what you are or are not getting. A basic policy that covers illness should be quite cheap, but you may be offered all manner of optional extras. Some policies will cover the costs of advertising and a reward if a pet is lost or stolen. Others, will even cover the cost of counseling for family members if the pet dies or is lost. So, if you got a dog for Christmas you should be at least setting aside about $200 dollars a month if you really want to look after it well. This is a significant extra cost on top of your normal monthly budget. However, when you think of the fun and happiness the new member of the family will bring to your home it is money well spent.

Truly numbing criticism

Truly Numbing Criticism While we shouldn’t needlessly flatter we must make it a goal to encourage. Regrettably, we tend only to welcome results as opposed to effort. Several of us condemn much more than we eulogize, thereby dampening fervor and squelching confidence. One teacher who was counseled about his fifteen-year-old student, Matthew, exclaimed, “He never does anything right!” Anything?? Now that’s Impossible! Grownups do it to adults as well. Why do several of us so concentrate on another’s fiascos or disappointments? Oftentimes, it is because you want to establish that you are smarter than me, that you are superior. Or, you want to demonstrate that you were right and that I was mistaken. Or, you want to express how much more honor you have than I do. There is yet an additional reason some of us are very disparaging and intolerant. Unhappy people vent their disappointment and resentments at handy targets. Condemnation often serves as a ready made avenue for the articulation of your rage and your sense that the world has dealt you an inequitable hand. Furthermore, when you condemn, you don’t have to accept your reservoir of anger. You can cloak your remarks in noble robes, for example: “I was only trying to help.” Folks require guidance. We crave feedback designed to keep us moving in a vigorous, fruitful direction. I don’t want you merely to be my cheerleader - I want you to tell me when I am being excessive and unrealistic. There is one type of criticism, however, whose outcome is solely negative. It is when you find lapse with something they can do zilch about. There is no point in ever permitting your brunette, hazel-eyed spouse to know that you prefer platinum locks and baby blue eyes. It is brutal to comment to your slim wife that you find bouncy breasts a real turn-on. It is tactless to go on and on about how eloquent and charming you find your male friend to be, when your husband is modest man of simple tastes. Criticism, delivered correctly, can be helpful when transformation is within our grasp. Demanding a person to change what is already etched in stone will only compel them to feel worthless and indignant. A critical change, nonetheless, requires that we simply shift some of our energies and become perceptive of somewhat different priorities. We educate our children to value the environment and set aside days for recycling in order to validate that respect. Adults dutifully segregate their garbage, putting aside paper, aluminum, glass, and plastic products so they can have another life. Why not then, proposition a globally recognized day each year on which we are remarkably mindful of treating others with dignity, when we associate with others as humans not objects, as equals not inferiors, as people who goad on and not criticize, as people with the same desires for appreciation?

Why does my cat bite my hand when i stroke her

You have settled into your favorite armchair, perhaps reading the final chapters of a gripping novel. Suddenly you are aware of the imploring stare of your cat sitting at your feet. You invite her onto your lap. Gently you begin to stroke her and your cat signals her appreciation with an audible purr. One hand holding your book the other hand continuing to pet your mouser, you again get lost in your novel. All is well in the world with you and with your cat. Suddenly your cat bites your hand! Why did kitty do that? Why did she bite the hand that strokes her? The experts don't agree on exactly why it is that some cats enjoy being petted, but end up biting. One thing that they do agree on is that when kitty bites at you, it's a sure sign that she has decided that she's had enough stroking. Cats differ in the amount of petting they will accept, and not all cats respond by biting when they have had enough. Some cats simply jump from your lap and saunter off to investigate interests anew. But many cats will nip you and your animal is one of them. Could you have known that a bite was on its way? Yes, there are often signs that cats give before biting. And, if you had not been so wrapped up in reading your novel, you may have paid heed to your little pets warning. If kitty's tail begins to twitch, in a rolling flick, watch out! She's getting ready to chomp at your hand. If your cats ears start turning towards the back of her head, or flatten against her head, that's a warning a bite is coming. If your cat suddenly becomes restless, or stiffens and stares at your hand, she could be about to nip you. If you noticed any of these signals, simply stop stroking your cat. Your pet will either stay on your lap or jump down and walk off, whichever happens you don't get bitten. What you should not do is punish your cat for biting your hand. That simply does not work. Cats are more likely to identify the punishment with you rather than with their bad cat behavior. If you miss a warning sign and kitty manages to get her jaws around your hand, try to resist the temptation to pull your hand away or push your cat away. Simply freeze. Chances are that your cat will not sink her teeth in, she has got her message across, and you have stopped petting her. If you try and push your cat away it is likely that she will fight with your hand resulting in skin punctures for you. (An animal bite can become infected quite easily, if your cat does draw blood clean up the wound scrupulously and seek the advice of your doctor.) Why do some cats behave in this aggressive way? The degree of tolerance to petting may be genetic, or it may be learned behavior. If when your cat was a kitten you allowed her to chew on your hand in play, she learned that biting human hands was an OK thing to do. So, when she feels that she has had enough stroking (she's the boss remember,) she will bite at your hand to let you know - if you ignore her warning signals. Some experts recommend the use of healthy tidbits, as a reward, in order to increase the time your cat will tolerate stroking. At the first warning signal offer kitty a treat, continue to stroke your cat gently for a time and offer her another reward. It is said that your cat will learn to connect petting with the tidbits and may, with patience, allow you to pet her for longer periods.

How to bathe useful tips

Bath is an effective beauty therapy. It is important not only for cleanliness but also for the proper maintenance of skin. Plan and use every minute of it tothe : do everything you have to do and then relax for as along as you possibly can. Use this time to really unwind: do a few exercises while the bath is running. Take this time and use it to the full – Exploit and use the freedom – and emerge calm , clean and refreshed in body and mind: a new woman ! In the morning prefer to take your bath under the shower. Cold water closes the skin pores and helps you shake off early morning laziness. While the tap is on, undress and tuck your hair away form your face and neck. Remove face make-up if any, with a cleansing lotion. Blow your nose and clean the nostril with a damp absorbent cotton or tissue paper. Get into the bath tub and relax completely for a few minutes. Apply soap to the upper part of your body. Rub every part except your breasts with the friction mitt. Pay special attention to your neck and clean it with the friction mitt. Give circulation to your arms, elbows and shoulders too and use the friction mitt on legs, heels and ankles. Use a bath brush to give the back of your body a thorough scrub and prevent spots. Use an anti-perspirant in the armpits. Relax completely atleast for five minutes before stepping out of the bath. Towel your body dry. Apply talcum powder on under-arms, feet and the public area. Rub body lotion or massage cream on the rest of your body. Clean your navel. After a bath, try to relax for a few minutes before starting dressing up. While using soap, fresh, lukewarm water is the best for bathing because hot water, may damage oil glands. Do not be economical in your use of water for bathing. Use standard bath body care products Ascertain before wiping that you have washed off all soap. Towels should be clear, soft and puffy. Wipe with towel by dabbing and then rubbing gently. Do not rub towel on delicate parts like face, neck, chin and stomach or else wrinkles will appear. Relax for a few minutes after a refreshing bath.

Joint bank accounts and the problem of divorce

If you are in the unfortunate situation of getting divorced, then you may be wondering how to sort out your joint bank accounts. Whether the divorce is amicable or not, it is important that you both agree on how to split the monetary funds in your joint accounts so that you both get a fair deal. Here is some advice on how to handle joint bank accounts and the problem of divorce. Freezing accounts If you ware worried about funds in the account being removed, then you can get a freeze placed on the account which requires both parties to give permission before any money is removed. Although this may be a good temporary solution to avoid money being removed, it will obviously harm both of you if no money can be released. However, it is a good point to start from and ensures that the account remains untouched and there is motivation on both sides to solve the situation. 50/50 split If the divorce is amicable and you feel that you are both of an equal financial standing, then the easiest way to sort out the problem of joint accounts is for one person to open a new account and deposit half of the money into that account. The other partner can then change the joint account to a single account, thus leaving each of you with half the money in the account. This is the quickest and easiest way to sort out any problems, but is not always possible if you are of different financial standings and an agreement cannot be reached. Don’t leave the situation Although you might think the situation will sort itself out, if your ex partner removes all of the money from the account and liquidates it without your knowledge, you could be left in serious financial trouble. Although you should be able to get the money back through the divorce settlement process, this could take months and leave you short of funds in the meantime. Whatever you do, make sure that you don’t just leave the situation to sort itself out. Credit cards If you hold joint credit cards, then it is important that you cancel your card and inform the bank in writing that you want to be removed from the credit card account due to impending divorce and that you will not be held responsible for any extra debts that are accumulated. Obviously, you will both still be responsible for any current debts, but make sure that anything your ex partner spends is not your concern. This applies to other bills such as phone bills etc. Safety deposit boxes Perhaps the hardest type of joint monetary asset to control is a safe deposit box. If one or both of you is self-employed then you might keep money in a safety deposit box. If you get divorced then there is no stopping one of you from emptying the box and leaving the other person with nothing. As soon as divorce is a possibility you should try and get the box frozen so that neither you nor your partner can access it on their own. If your bank won’t comply then take photos of the contents and get someone to sign it to confirm the contents in case they are removed. If you can remain civil with each other and take the necessary precautions, then you can both end up with the right amount of money from your joint accounts should divorce occur.

Online affiliate marketing improves product offerings

One of the advantages of online affiliate marketing programs is that your visitors are already online and are willing to look and shop online for many items. Whether through necessity or with discretionary income, online shopping is gaining ground each year and more people are spending more money online than ever before. As online security continue to improve using credit card numbers or checking account information is being more freely entered and in order to tap the online market, internet sellers need to have what their visitors are looking for. It is unlikely that any one site will be able to offer everything for everybody, but by using online affiliate marketing, you can probably come pretty close to that goal. Even if you only carry one item on your own website, visitors will probably not come back if they are not specifically looking for that one item. Additionally, if it is not a disposable item, repeat sales may be few and far between. Instead of adding products to your mix, you can become affiliated with other online stores to offer a wider variety of products and services without the expense of carrying them yourself. It is considered good business to have any affiliates you sign up with be relevant to your core business to entice your visitors to look at the additional offerings. If they are coming to your site for a specific type of product, seeing offering for similar offerings gives them more of an incentive to click on the ads for the other sites. Not only will it give your visitors something else to consider, if they end up buying something from the other sites, you receive a sales commission on the purchase, which will improve your bottom line. Different online affiliate marketing plans exist that offer a different type of payout, but commissioned sales leads the pack for profitable offerings. Some sites will pay per thousand impressions, meaning every time your page with their ad on it is loaded, you get credit for an impression. Other offer a small payment when someone clicks on the ad and visits their page and still others will pay you if your visitor goes to their site and fills in specific information. The majority, however offer the incentive of giving you a percent of the total sale, not including tax and shipping, to give you a reason to get more visitors to your site. The benefit of online affiliate marketing to the sites is that they get advertising that they only have to pay for if it results in a sale. This performance-based advertising is unique to the internet as costs to put an ad on the site is minimal, and since most website owners are promoting their site anyway, adding another graphic or text link can be done virtually for free. To your success.

The academic divide graduate students with funding and without

In many university departments, it seems like there are two separate groups of graduate students: those who have grants and assistantships, and those who don’t. Is it worth it to continue your education if you aren’t one of the select few? In a word: yes. If you have been offered admission to a graduate program, but have not been offered funding, it is not a crisis situation. You should begin your school regardless. If you have started graduate school without funding, you can always apply each year. You should apply for grants and assistantships (both research and teaching) each year. Some grant applications are due in early fall, so be sure to check out the deadlines of any to which you are going to apply. It might seem that you have only started school before you have to get your funding applications in. Once you have begun your studies at a school, you have an advantage over those applicants who will be entering next year. You will know professors and be able to get references that count. Applying for funding twice will help show the department and the granting organizations that you are dedicated. Remember that your school isn’t the only organization that can offer you funding. Check out your government websites (municipal, provincial or state, and federal) to find grant applications. Look at other organizations such as businesses, charities, and social groups that fund scholarships and grants each year. Even if you can support yourself and pay your tuition by working during school, take the time to apply for grants and assistantships. It looks great on your resume, and will help you in the long run. For the meantime, when you are trying to fund your first year of studies without help from the school or from outside sources, consider getting a loan to pay for your studies. You can get specialized loans designed for students, for graduate students, and sometimes even designed for particular fields of study! Having a loan instead of working long hours will ensure that you have the time to complete the applications (which is very time consuming: it will take you days to get all of the materials written, your references gathered, your transcripts and other supporting documents). It will also mean that you are free to devote yourself to your studies. Demonstrating a keen attitude and enthusiasm for school will help you stand out in your professors’ minds. You want them to notice you, to respect you, and to help you get the teaching assistant or research assistant position that you are looking for! In the end, if you truly want to go to school, you will be able to do it. Just carefully assess your funding options, and never give up on applications. Apply each year, and apply faithfully. It might not be fun, but in the end it could be what ends up paying the bills.

Commercial real estate

Commercial real estate Commercial real estate: The big profits Real estate is often termed as the safest investment avenue. In fact, real estate investments done with proper evaluation of the property (and its true value), can lead to good profits. This is one reason why some people pursue real estate investment as their full time job. The talks of real estate are generally focussed towards residential real estate; commercial real estate seems to take a back seat. However, commercial real estate too is a good option for investing in real estate. Commercial real estate includes a lot of different kinds of properties. Most people relate commercial real estate with only office complexes or factories/ industrial units. However, that is not all of commercial real estate. There is more to commercial real estate. Health care centers, retail structures and warehouse are all good examples of commercial real estate. Even residential properties like apartments (or any property that consists of more than four residential units) are considered commercial real estate. In fact, such commercial real estate is much in demand. So, is commercial real estate really profitable? Well, if it were not profitable I would not have been writing about commercial real estate at all. So, commercial real estate is profitable for sure. The only thing with commercial real estate is that recognising the opportunity is a bit difficult as compared to residential real estate. But commercial real estate profits can be real big (in fact, much bigger than you would expect from residential real estate of the same proportion). You could take up commercial real estate for either reselling after appreciation or for renting out to, say, retailers. The commercial real estate development is in fact treated as the first sign for growth of residential real estate. Once you know of the possibility of significant commercial growth in the region (either due to tax breaks or whatever), you should start evaluating the potential for appreciation in the prices of commercial real estate and then go for it quickly (as soon as you find a good deal). And you must really work towards getting a good deal. If you find that commercial real estate, e. g. land, is available in big chunks which are too expensive for you to buy, you could look at forming a small investor group (with your friends) and buy it together (and split the profits later). In some cases e. g. when a retail boom is expected in a region, you might find it profitable to buy a property that you can convert into a warehouse for the purpose of renting to small businesses. So commercial real estate presents a whole plethora of investing opportunities, you just need to grab it.

Indifference and decompensation in pathological narcissism

The narcissist lacks empathy. Consequently, he is not really interested in the lives, emotions, needs, preferences, and hopes of people around him. Even his nearest and dearest are, to him, mere instruments of gratification. They require his undivided attention only when they "malfunction" - when they become disobedient, independent, or critical. He loses all interest in them if they cannot be "fixed" (for instance, when they are terminally ill or develop a modicum of personal autonomy and independence). Once he gives up on his erstwhile sources of supply, the narcissist proceeds to promptly and peremptorily devalue and discard them. This is often done by simply ignoring them - a facade of indifference that is known as the "silent treatment" and is, at heart, hostile and aggressive. Indifference is, therefore, a form of devaluation. People find the narcissist "cold", "inhuman", "heartless", "clueless", "robotic or machine-like". Early on in life, the narcissist learns to disguise his socially-unacceptable indifference as benevolence, equanimity, cool-headedness, composure, or superiority. "It is not that I don't care about others" - he shrugs off his critics - "I am simply more level-headed, more resilient, more composed under pressure ... They mistake my equanimity for apathy." The narcissist tries to convince people that he is compassionate. His profound lack of interest in his spouse's life, vocation, interests, hobbies, and whereabouts he cloaks as benevolent altruism. "I give her all the freedom she can wish for!" - he protests - "I don't spy on her, follow her, or nag her with endless questions. I don't bother her. I let her lead her life the way she sees fit and don't interfere in her affairs!". He makes a virtue out of his emotional truancy. All very commendable but when taken to extremes such benign neglect turns malignant and signifies the voidance of true love and attachment. The narcissist's emotional (and, often, physical) absence from all his relationships is a form of aggression and a defense against his own thoroughly repressed feelings. In rare moments of self-awareness, the narcissist realizes that without his input - even in the form of feigned emotions - people will abandon him. He then swings from cruel aloofness to maudlin and grandiose gestures intended to demonstrate the "larger than life" nature of his sentiments. This bizarre pendulum only proves the narcissist's inadequacy at maintaining adult relationships. It convinces no one and repels many. The narcissist's guarded detachment is a sad reaction to his unfortunate formative years. Pathological narcissism is thought to be the result of a prolonged period of severe abuse by primary caregivers, peers, or authority figures. In this sense, pathological narcissism is, therefore, a reaction to trauma. Narcissism is a form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder that got ossified and fixated and mutated into a personality disorder. All narcissists are traumatized and all of them suffer from a variety of post-traumatic symptoms: abandonment anxiety, reckless behaviors, anxiety and mood disorders, somatoform disorders, and so on. But the presenting signs of narcissism rarely indicate post-trauma. This is because pathological narcissism is an efficient coping (defense) mechanism. The narcissist presents to the world a facade of invincibility, equanimity, superiority, skilfulness, cool-headedness, invulnerability, and, in short: indifference. This front is penetrated only in times of great crises that threaten the narcissist's ability to obtain narcissistic supply. The narcissist then "falls apart" in a process of disintegration known as decompensation. The dynamic forces which render him paralyzed and fake - his vulnerabilities, weaknesses, and fears - are starkly exposed as his defenses crumble and become dysfunctional. The narcissist's extreme dependence on his social milieu for the regulation of his sense of self-worth are painfully and pitifully evident as he is reduced to begging and cajoling. At such times, the narcissist acts out self-destructively and anti-socially. His mask of superior equanimity is pierced by displays of impotent rage, self-loathing, self-pity, and crass attempts at manipulation of his friends, family, and colleagues. His ostensible benevolence and caring evaporate. He feels caged and threatened and he reacts as any animal would do - by striking back at his perceived tormentors, at his hitherto "nearest" and "dearest".

5 Ways blogging can help your business

: Not long ago, a diary was a deeply personal thing — a journal of thoughts and observations, kept under lock and key and often buried in a dresser drawer. The Web has a way of changing things. Now, a diary of thoughts, observations and insight — posted on the Internet — may be a way to boost your business. Web logs, or "blogs" as they're better known, have become a way to engage readers and potential customers of businesses big and small. A blog is a journal posted on a Web site, updated on a regular basis and containing news, opinions, ideas and brainstorms. It might also have links to other sources of information, other Web sites and other blogs. Many blogs cut both ways, inviting readers to post feedback on what they see. While that can apply to everything from sports and entertainment, it can also generate interest — and, ultimately, income — for your business. No, blogs aren't for everyone. But see how they can accomplish these five basic business objectives. 1. Expose a new or little-known product or idea For Grant Smith, blogging makes a world of sense on a number of levels. Smith operates a business that provides streaming video e-mail and related video communications products. Since many prospective clients might know little about video e-mail, Smith says his blog is a natural way to provide specifics. "I began blogging to get established in the technology," Smith says. "It can have a positive impact for business. Readers are always looking for more ways to find out information about companies and for ways to interact." That, in turn, can lead to a more informed customer and a more time-effective sales process. Rather than taking time to pitch your product or service to a client who may not need it, a blog supplants you as an information source. If a prospect contacts you, that's great. If not, you've wasted no time in explaining something that generates nothing in return. 2. Improve your search engine rankings Blogging also puts you in touch with prospects in other ways. As any company with a position on the Internet realises, Web site visitors that come via Google, MSN and other search engines can provide numerous leads. Blogs can add to the frequency with which search vehicles identify you and your company, particularly if your blog allows readers to post a response. If done properly, blogs have a tremendous benefit relative to search engines, according to Brad Fallon, president of SEO Research, a search engine marketing firm. "With blogs that allow comments, every new post and every new comment becomes an additional Web page filled with additional keywords to be picked up by the search engine spiders," he says. 3. Position yourself as an expert in an industry or field Blogging also can also prove an effective marketing tool to establish yourself as an authority in your field. Not only can that generate leads, it also sends a positive message about your credentials through the marketplace and also gives your business a face and a personality. 4. Influence public opinion Blogging also allows users to bypass traditional journalistic venues and, in effect, become a publisher of their own thoughts and viewpoints. For Steve Rubel, vice president of client services at a public relations firm, blogs are also fast becoming a powerful influence on public opinion. "Blogs have evolved into legitimate alternative sources of news on niche and micro-niche topics," Rubel says. "Anyone with a passion and dedication could become an amateur journalist. I feel some of these sites — in aggregate — are having just as much sway on public opinion as larger, more established media brands." 5. Engage in a forum openly with your customers Just as important, blogs that solicit reader comments can provide a sense of immediacy with your customers. In one respect, that's a ready source of feedback on what you're doing right and what you need to improve. "My blog provides a forum for customers to give feedback after plunking their money down," says Fallon. "The result? While the normal market is lucky to have one-half of 1% of customers send an unsolicited testimonial, I have already collected glowing testimonials from over 15% of my customers." Casino games poker recognition. part three

The first considerable victory was marked in Austria. In 1993 an entrepreneur and a great fun of poker Peter Zanoni opened in Vienna a poker club "Concord Card Casino". The club positioned itself as the place where they play only poker as a skill game not a gambling game. Substantially immediately the club became interesting for the gambling business which saw a competitor therein. At the suggestion of the gambling business the press began attacking the club, the managers of the club were accused in organization of illegal gambling games, contacts with criminals etc. Very soon gambling lobby provoked the state to bring a charge in organization of illegal gambles against the managers of the club. The court took place the resolution of which shocked many people. The advocates of the club tried to prove that poker is not a gamble but a competition of skills, know-how. The court applied for consultation of the experts, they carried out an independent mathematical expertise of poker rules the results of which expressly showed that skills dominated over a chance in this game. Poker was brought into the line with chess. The court accepted the results of the expertise and took the resolution in favor of the poker club. For today the "Concord Card Casino" is one of the greatest poker clubs of Europe. The founder of the club Peter Zanoni inspired with his victory, he is now successfully working on popularization of poker and its recognition as a kind of sport in Europe. For this purpose he founded first Austrian association of poker sport and in 2006 he founded European association of poker sport. A similar court session took place in Great Britain in January 2007. Derek Kelly faced trial, he is an owner of a poker club "Gutshot Club" in London downtown. Unfortunately for Derek and all English poker fans British law turned to be less liberal than Austrian one. Having recognized a skill compound in poker games it gave preference to a chance in the game. But British people should not be upset the attitude to skill sports in their country is still complicated, for instance, chess was officially recognized a sport only some years ago. Derek Kelly's case had provoked in society a live discussion which was taken up by politicians. Very soon British media suggest that poker, bridge should be put together with chess. In the end of July 2007 good news for poker fans came from Denmark. Court proceedings as to Frederic Hostrup, a chairman of Danish poker association finished in favor of Frederic and poker. As in Austria Hostrup was accused in organization of illegal gambling games. The advocate Henrick Hoffman proved to the court that poker is not a gamble but a skill game. The winners have already declared that now they will fight for the rights of their favourite game on the territory of all Europe. Poker smoothly fitted well into the society of the 20th century and a number of their fans grow in geometrical progression. In the modern world not to know how to play poker becomes a mauvais ton. In such conditions the authorities cannot but take into account the people's opinion which is the part of it. The authorities should go away from prejudices and be guided by common sense and the opinion of majority.

How to protect yourself from identity theft

Identity Theft is a real and growing problem. So what is identity theft exactly? Basically, identity theft is when someone uses your social security number, your bank credit card number, your driver's license number or any other form of identity without your knowledge or permission. Many people have fallen victim to identity theft through many different means. Some of these ways are easily preventable due to their common sense obvious nature. Other ways identities are stolen are more dubious and discreet. So, the question becomes, how can you protect yourself from someone stealing your identity? To protect yourself from identity theft, the first thing you should do when considering how to divulge information about your identity to someone you do not know or may not trust is to use your common sense. Never make one-sided assumptions or take things for granted where your identity is concerned. Credit card company statements and bank statements you receive in the mail contain your account information including your account number. Any of these items need to be shredded with an inexpensive shredder you can buy at any office supply store. Do not throw credit card statements, old credit cards or bank statements, etc. in the trash as that presents an easy way for someone going through the trash to steal your account information and use it as if they were you. Another thing you can do to protect yourself against credit card fraud and unauthorized credit card usage is to sign the back of your card as "Check ID". If a store clerk asks to see your card, he or she will check the signature on the back and compare it with some other form of ID you have. This safeguard will not work where a purchase can be automatically completed (like at a gas pump). When you are buying items at a store or withdrawing money from a bank or ATM machine using your ATM debit card always protect the visibility of your PIN number as you punch it in. Do not carry your social security card with your number on it in your wallet. Keep your social security card or anything with your social security number on it in a safe place where no one has access to it but you. If you must dispose of anything that has your social security number on it, do not forget to shred it. When online, do not open files sent to you by strangers or even files that are from someone you know but were not expecting to receive any from them. Do not click on hyperlinks or download programs from people you do not know either. Opening a computer file from an unknown source could expose your system to a computer virus, a Trojan or spyware. These types of programs could be ones that could log your keystroke information containing your credit card numbers, passwords or other sensitive information as you type it in. If you use Ebay or Paypal, read the company website policies concerning how they handle communication to you about your account information. Never trust an email you may receive out of nowhere from Ebay or Paypal asking you to "update your account information" as this is more than likely a ploy to steal that information and use it illegally. Use a firewall program and a router while you are online if you have high speed internet that leaves your computer connected to the internet 24/7. The router and the firewall program both make it much more difficult for a hacker to see your computer's actual IP address which means that you have a better chance of safely sending and receiving sensitive information over the internet. Windows XP operating system SP2 has a built in firewall which you should make sure is enabled in your settings. When you are shopping online, always use a secure browser and shop from a web site that offers secure transactions when shopping online. Most browsers in use today have this protection feature including the popular Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers. Secure website shopping carts you visit will show up as "https://thestoresdomain" in the web browser address bar. Practice keeping your computer clean from spyware or Trojan programs that log keystroke information by using virus protection software and spyware monitoring and removal software. These programs should be updated regularly, and updates for you're operating system and other software programs should be installed regularly to protect against the compromise of your computer files and password information. Ideally, virus protection software should be set to update itself frequently. The Windows XP operating system will update itself automatically if you enable this feature, which you should. The consequences of identity theft once thieves have your information can be quite severe and range from going on a spending spree to taking out auto loans in your name. For these reasons and others, it is a good idea to monitor your credit report periodically. A credit report can be obtained from Trans Union Corp. New laws have made it easy for you to get at least one free credit report that you can use to see if accounts have been opened in your name. You may copy this article and place it on your own website, as long as you do not change it and include this resource box including the live link to the Credit Repair Advice site.

Where and how to find affordable health insurance in wisconsin

Wisconsin offers its residents several ways to obtain affordable health insurance, and one of those ways is to enroll in the Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan. Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan caters mostly to individuals who have thus far been unable to find health insurance due to their current medical conditions, or individuals who have lost their group health insurance coverage. Those who are enrolling due to losing an employer-sponsored group insurance plan have no waiting period to endure; those who are enrolling due to current medical conditions are subject to a six-month waiting period. Although the cost of Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan is not based on your income, some individuals are eligible for reduced premiums and deductibles. In order to be eligible for Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing, you must be a Wisconsin resident who is not eligible for a group health insurance package from an employer, BadgerCare, or Medicaid. Depending on the reason you are applying for Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan, you will also have other eligibility requirements to meet. For example, if you are applying because you ca not find affordable health insurance in Wisconsin due to a medical condition, you may have to show proof of insurance rejection, cancellation, or a decrease in coverage. Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing covers a broad range of medical services; however, it also refuses to cover some medical services, most of which include those that are cosmetic or deemed not medically necessary. A downfall to Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing is that it doesn’t cover routine procedures such as hearing aids, dental work, or eye care. If you’re looking for affordable health insurance in Wisconsin, check into Wisconsin’s Health Insurance Risk Sharing Plan. Although you might not be eligible forever – or might not even want it forever – you may be eligible now, and you may be able to get affordable health insurance in Wisconsin now.

Free radio stations

What is the purpose of free radio stations? Free radio stations are way to listen to music without the advertisement and commercials from the major corporations. Now not all free radio stations are ad or commercial free, some radio stations do have ads and commercials. These are still free radio stations but free in a different way. These radio stations are free for you to listen to but they still charge for advertisement and commercial time. The radio stations which charge for advertisement and commercial space differ big time from the radio stations which do not have advertisement or commercial space. First off radio stations which charge for ads and commercials have to cater to their sponsors. Don't you hate it when you are listening to a radio station and they go to commercial every 7 minutes? That is because they have to make room for all of their sponsor's ads and commercials to air. Normally the higher the ratings the more sponsor ads and commercials. Radio Stations which charge for on air ads and commercials cater to their paid advertisers. That is how they make their money. Before Howard Stern went to Satellite Radio if you ever watched his show you would notice how every 5 mins he would have to go to a commercial break, plus he was heavily censored on what he could say and what he could not say. The reason for this is two-fold. First Howard Stern had the number 1 show on the radio, so CBS was charging top dollar to get ad or commercial time during his show. The more commercial slots CBS could fill in the more money they made. Which butchered the show because they would go to a commercial break every five minutes. Now on the censorship, the big deal with censorship is the CBS company does not want Howard Stern to offend viewers. Not because they have high moral grounds but because they are afraid they may lose sponsors willing to pay for airtime on his show. Just look at what happened with Don Imus or Michael Vick, major corporations pulled the plug right away on the both of them because they did not want to lose customer sales. With radio stations that charge for airtime there are many fine lines and politics they must follow. With radio stations who do not charge for airtime space they are in more control of what they play and what they say. The only problem with them is they do not normally make the same amount of income the larger stations make since they do not charge for airtime space. No matter which types of free radio stations you decide to listen to, just know when a station does not play commercials or play ads, you will get a better radio experience. Free radio stations are the route many consumers are going since paid radio stations have way too many commercials. With free radio stations you will not have to listen to all of the garbage that goes along with them.

How to work at home with young children

I’ve written a few simple rules to help you deal with the reality of working at home with young children. Your day may not go exactly like this, but at times it will probably come pretty close. 1. Start your day by telling the kids you are going to be working. Make sure you have enough time for last-minute demands, such as the urgent need to play “just one” game of Chutes and Ladders. 2. Remind kids of when they can disturb you while you work. “No, wanting a cookie is not an emergency.” “Yes, you can tell me if the cat is on fire.” 3. Remind husband of when he can disturb you while you work. “No, that’s not an emergency either. Give me a back rub after I’m done working and we’ll talk.” 4. Chase cat out of home office. 5. Clean up dishes from around computer. Take to kitchen and remind everyone they are supposed to eat in the kitchen, not the office. 6. Get cat out of office chair and put outside. 7. Get toddler out of office chair and send to Daddy. Close office door. 8. Hear toddler pounding on office door. Find teddy bear tucked behind computer and give to toddler. 9. Start working. 10. Hear kids arguing in hall just outside your office door. Remind them to be quiet for you. Try to get them to stop telling you their side of the story. Send kids to husband for mediation. 11. Take a deep breath. Get back to work. 12. Husband knocks on door to ask when dinner will be ready. With great restraint, remind him that it’s his night to cook. 13. Try to remember what you were doing. Start new project when you can’t figure it out. 14. Toddler comes in covered in paints. Older child follows, saying he didn’t either leave them out. Yell to husband to give toddler a bath. 15. Find paint all over your paperwork. Do your best to clean it. 16. Main phone line rings. Answer because husband is too busy giving toddler a bath. Tell friend no you can’t watch her kids for her tomorrow. Remind her that you do WORK at home. 17. Answer call that beeps through on call waiting. Tell mother-in-law no, you aren’t interested in the outside the home job she just heard about. Yes, you are earning enough working at home. No, it isn’t just a hobby. Explain you are working and can’t talk for long. Hear all the reasons she thinks you need to find a different job. 18. Retreat back to office before kids realize you aren’t in there. 19. Get some work done fast while the getting is good. 20. Soaking wet toddler comes charging in and demands you help dress her. Try to send to Daddy. Calm toddler’s tantrum as she insists she wants MOMMY to do it. Decide dressing her is faster than trying to calm her down other ways. Send clothed toddler back to Daddy. 21. Try to get settled back into working. 22. Hear smoke alarm go off. Dinner must be ready. Take a break and get something to eat with the family. 23. Head back to work. Find out you missed the call you had been expecting. Call them back. 24puter crashes. Wait for it to reboot. 25. Realize you hadn’t saved the file you were working on. Autosave didn’t quite get it all. Try to remember what you had been doing. 26. Realize your internet connection isn’t working. Try to get automated tech support to give you a real person. 27. Kids come thundering into the room for bedtime hugs and to ask for a story. Take a break and enjoy. 28. Chase cat back out of office. 29. Find out cat walked all over your keyboard, deleting half your file and inserting random text. 30. Toddler has to go potty and won’t let Daddy help. Once that’s done, help toddler back to bed. 31. Peace and quiet at last. Get some work done before you fall asleep.

Barcelona a bohemian way of live it

One of its points of interest is the MACBA, i. e. Museu d’Art Contemporani de Barcelona (Plaзa del Angels 1, macba. es , open Monday to Wednesday and Friday 11am to 7.30pm, Saturday 10am to 8pm, and Sunday 10 am to 3 pm, ticket 4Ђ, Metro 1 Red or 2 Violet, Universitat station) constructed by Richard Meier. The art collection is mainly from the second half of the 20th century, but the museum often hosts some contemporary art exhibitions. Near the museum there’s the CCCB, i. e. Centre de Cultura Contemporania de Barcelona (C/ Montalegre 5, open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 8pm, Metro 3 Green, Liceu station), a multidisciplinary institution that organises and hosts plenty of events: exhibitions, concerts, shows, cinema festivals, courses, debates, lectures. Last but don’t least you can’t miss the famous Mercat de la Boqueria (boqueria. info), an enchanting explosion of colours! The market stalls are full of fresh vegetables, fruit, meat and fish that come from every part of the world. Near the Mercat we find the Liceu Opera House, considered by many to be one of the finest opera houses in Europe along with the Scala of Milan. In 1994 it tragically burned to the ground and was therefore rebuilt expanding the facilities while conserving the original faзade. At the end of the Rambla stands the Columbus Monument. Built on the occasion of the Universal Exposition of 1888, it has become one of the identifying symbols of the city. In this area you can easily find very nice guest houses, that in Spanish are called Hostal or hostales, not to be confused with hostels or youth hostels. Hostal is a typical family run pension or guest house where you will be accommodate in a Spanish house, with a private room. Breakfast is not always served nor included in the price. Nevertheless, guest houses (hostales) average prices range from 25-40 euros per person, which is quite good! Here some good one you can easily find in Barcelona: Barna Hostal B&B, Sleepy Beds B&B and guest house, BCN Dreams Guest house, Somnio Hostal, Barcelona Residence, Corsega Apartment, Agua Alegre Hostal, Que Tal Guest house. For nice youth hostels that in Spanish are called albergues de la juventud in Barcelona try Pere Tarres youth Hostel, Residencia Universitaria San Marius hostel, La Trajinera youth hostel.

Forming links with mass notification

The world of today is opening its eyes to new modes of working. While many still adhere to the daily grind and hustle and bustle of a commute, more and more people are conducting their activities in an entirely different way. And more and more businesses are doing all they can to have a global reach. While this meets many needs of convenience and versatility in a global marketplace, it opens up a new need that involves communication with the workforce. When the workforce for any business is based in different countries, or even in different areas of the same town, communicating effectively with every employee can become an uphill task. When you spend time communicating to your employees at the individual level, you are actually losing productivity time in your business. Thankfully, today there are many mass notification methods to help you to save a lot of time and money effectively communicating with your employees. Mass notification is fast becoming essential in business today. When you need to communicate with your workforce, you can use mass notification to make certain that your employees get the same information at the same time. All information is supplied by you. So the information cannot be incorrect by any standards. Ideally, there should be no miscommunication or misunderstanding within the workforce. The method that you choose to send your mass notifications will depend on the media or forum that is resorted to by your company. Emails and SMSs are the two most popular means of mass notification, and one cannot deny their efficiency. If your workforce is listed as a primary group in your contact book, then you can send one email that everyone gets in their mailbox at once. SMSs work in the same way. If all of your employees provide you with the numbers of their mobiles, you can create a group list in your contacts list, and send a single SMS message to the entire staff by just tapping on a few keys. Because today's employee is a mobile one, you should try to make use of both email and text messaging in conjunction with another. If the mass notification you wish to forward is urgent, ensure that everyone receives the information in a timely manner by sending an email, and follow it up with an SMS. While many people may not be checking their emails that often, most mobile users will instantly receive their SMSesmunicating with your workforce and with all members of your company has certainly become much easier and more efficient. We are lucky to have all these mass notification methods.
